ART 8 - ART HISTORY PROJECT

TASK:

Studying artists and their work can help in creating your own art and heighten your appreciation of fine art. You will select an artist to research and complete a fact sheet about your artist. In order to become aquatinted with as many artists as possible, you will also give an oral/visual report for your classmates about your artist. After the successful completion of the project, your class will go on a field trip to the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester to see some of the artists’ original works.

PROCEDURE:

Day 1 Introduction to research project

Day 2 Library Instruction (sources / find artists / bibliography cards / Noodle Bib)

Day 3 Work on fact sheets

Day 4 Work on fact sheets

Day 5 Begin Power Point

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

1.    Bibliography cards / Noodle Bib – Two required sources (print source of choice; web source from the Memorial Art Gallery). Due: ___________
